I travelled from India and stayed for six days in July 2024 in the hotel. I walked from Kings Cross train station. It took me around 5 minutes to find McElhone Street. Going toward the hotel, the McElhone street is slopey downhill road, so carrying a luggage was easy. Though, while returning to Kings Cross station from the hotel was not easy, as I had to drag my luggage uphill to reach the station. Its around 10 minutes walk from Kings Cross station. Most of the tourist sites I covered just by walking, like Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour bridge, Macquarie's Chair, Queen Victorial Building, Sydney tower, Hyde Park, Royal Botanical Park, St. Mary's Cathedral, . If you can walk you can cover most of the sites just by walking from the Hotel. I am a museum goer and to my joy, most of museums like Australian Museum, Art Gallery of New South Wales, Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney Museum, etc. I reached just by walking. The stay was quite comfortable. The breakfast was decent.

Location, location, location. This is a wonderful hotel and such good value for money. If you are happy with a comfortable room and great cooked, fresh breakfast and warm and friendly staff who offer valuable information about places to go and see and the best way to get there then this is the place for you. It’s not your up market hotel but the rooms are clean and comfortable, fridge, microwave, tea, coffee and biscuits and a separate lounge/ games room for guests to use plus a laundry is available for coin. It has the old school hospitality like your booking into a country motel. We have stayed before and we will definitely be back, perfect location for walking to see Handa Opera and we walked to Australia Museum the following day. Parking is also very reasonable at $25.

Hotel with a large bedroom, large bathroom with curtains, all amenities such as shampoo, conditioner and soap, towels are changed daily. Very good location, very close to the Royal Garden and the Sydney Opera House and very close to Potts Point. There is a subway station about 800 meters away. Nearby Porto has the best restaurants without tourists. Reasonable breakfast. The same things every day. They are lacking in presentation and have an outside space that is better because the inside has a very strong smell of grease. The cleaning of the rooms is horrible, very bad. They only make the bed daily but do not clean the rooms. I found a lipstick from the guest before me. The reception only opens from 9am. The manager was extremely polite to me. It was raining sometimes and she gave me an umbrella and directions where to go.

The room was clean and had all amenities that would be expected and the bed was comfortable. The buffet breakfast was well cooked and well presented with a choice of cereal, hot and cold dishes. The staff, reception, housekeeping and catering were all helpful, friendly and welcoming. The guest lounge was a nice touch which included a pool table, TV, comfy seating and a free coffee machine. The location was ideal for visiting the city and the Big Bus tour stop was only minutes away. Excellent value for money and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Right near the wharf district, easy 10- 20 min walk to the Botanic Gardens, Art Gallery and Circular Quay in one direction, 10 mins from excellent restaurants and bars at Kings Cross in the other direction. The beds (and pillows!) were comfy, it was reasonably quiet and it was very clean. It's not flashy, but it had everything we needed, especially for the price. Very walkable area.

The location is very central. It's walking distance from Kings Cross Station (stairs involved) and not far from the Botanic Garden and Circular Quay. The hotel is dated. It seemed a lot closer to a 2 star hotel than a 3 star. The staff was very helpful in letting us leave our luggage before the room was ready. They also said we could make use of the lounge (couches and recliners) until the room was ready. The best part of the stay was the included breakfast. I tend not to eat breakfast, but I was impressed by the selection offered and found several things to eat. Others staying there really seemed to make the most of the breakfast.

A pleasant surprise! Fabulous location within walking distance to the city and surrounds. The breakfast was excellent as were the restaurant staff. Receptionist was wonderful too. The building is old as would be expected in Woolloomooloo, but it has been well maintained and provides some interesting extras such as juliette balconies, a loungeroom with pool table and books, and coffee machines with freshly ground coffee beans. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return for sure. Thank you!

Cosy beds and located in quiet area. Room tidied with fresh towels provided daily. Nice staff. Plenty food provided for breakfast. Good fresh coffee. Nice walk to hotel from city centre (eg Circular Quay) through Botanical gardens was delightful. But take care gardens close at set times in the evening according to the month. Area near hotel (Woolloomooloo) has an abundance of cafes, bars and restaurants.
