The location is wonderful, down the end of the road is Woolloomooloo wharf and the famous Harry's Cafe de wheels. 6 minute walk to KingsCross train station or a bus where the wharf is to get around. There is car parking if you have a car. The room is a nice size and beautiful , with a balcony, you can sit outside and drink your coffee and enjoy the sun. There is a guest lounge/ play room with a free coffee machine, pool table , books, etc. Also laundry room is available too, in the room there is a microwave, coffee and tea and a bar fridge, big shower, ceiling fan, aircon, extra blankets and a comfy bed. In reception area you can buy bottles of wine and champagne, also room came with a free brekky, its self serve continental brekky, it was all amazing. We love this old world charm, and will stay again. We were so surprised that this amazing hotel still used actual keys, so love this place, we stated due to going to see zz top at the icc building in darling harbour, but will find many excuses to stay at the mariners court again , friendly beautiful staff too ,

I travelled from India and stayed for six days in July 2024 in the hotel. I walked from Kings Cross train station. It took me around 5 minutes to find McElhone Street. Going toward the hotel, the McElhone street is slopey downhill road, so carrying a luggage was easy. Though, while returning to Kings Cross station from the hotel was not easy, as I had to drag my luggage uphill to reach the station. Its around 10 minutes walk from Kings Cross station. Most of the tourist sites I covered just by walking, like Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour bridge, Macquarie's Chair, Queen Victorial Building, Sydney tower, Hyde Park, Royal Botanical Park, St. Mary's Cathedral, . If you can walk you can cover most of the sites just by walking from the Hotel. I am a museum goer and to my joy, most of museums like Australian Museum, Art Gallery of New South Wales, Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney Museum, etc. I reached just by walking. The stay was quite comfortable. The breakfast was decent.

Hotel with a large bedroom, large bathroom with curtains, all amenities such as shampoo, conditioner and soap, towels are changed daily. Very good location, very close to the Royal Garden and the Sydney Opera House and very close to Potts Point. There is a subway station about 800 meters away. Nearby Porto has the best restaurants without tourists. Reasonable breakfast. The same things every day. They are lacking in presentation and have an outside space that is better because the inside has a very strong smell of grease. The cleaning of the rooms is horrible, very bad. They only make the bed daily but do not clean the rooms. I found a lipstick from the guest before me. The reception only opens from 9am. The manager was extremely polite to me. It was raining sometimes and she gave me an umbrella and directions where to go.

Location, location, location. This is a wonderful hotel and such good value for money. If you are happy with a comfortable room and great cooked, fresh breakfast and warm and friendly staff who offer valuable information about places to go and see and the best way to get there then this is the place for you. It’s not your up market hotel but the rooms are clean and comfortable, fridge, microwave, tea, coffee and biscuits and a separate lounge/ games room for guests to use plus a laundry is available for coin. It has the old school hospitality like your booking into a country motel. We have stayed before and we will definitely be back, perfect location for walking to see Handa Opera and we walked to Australia Museum the following day. Parking is also very reasonable at $25.

This hotel is an absolute gem. The facilities are great-coffee machine in lounge, snooker table and laundry-and the rooms are very comfortable with a small balcony. The breakfast and staff were excellent. We arrived by train to Kings Cross which is a 5 minute walk away and walked to all the main attractions easily. To the opera house and circular quay it takes 20-30 minutes and you are very close to the botanic gardens. There are plenty of places to eat nearby including the famous ‘Harrys’ van which does pie, mash and peas! We were expecting a lot less for the very reasonable cost but it was incredibly good value and one of the quietest hotels we’ve stayed in. Would definitely use them again.
